When I was a little kid I had a difficult time with some words and in second grade I drew a soccer ball on my paper as my middle name. My teacher told me I couldn't do that. I thought she meant I wasn't to draw a picture so I tried spelling soccer ball the next time and she told me again that I couldn't do that and I insisted my middle name was soccer ball, I remember thinking she was mean, but in the end I was wrong, my middle name is Socrates Bode. Since the 1990's I wanted to see a moose in the wild. After dozens of trips my dream came true in August 2014 when I saw 4 moose in one day off The Cabot Trail in Nova Scotia. The next year on a trip to Banff and Jasper National Parks I saw my first animal bridge on the Icefields Parkway. A journey began as I wanted to bring awareness to this fabulous piece of architecture. Being a song writer; I always wanted to write a soundtrack so I decided to make a film so I could checkmark something on my bucket list. Since I was the age I could walk; I involuntarily flap my hands and pace back in forth dripping into a world of imagination. Not knowing what I was doing and noticing no one else I knew did this I believed I was an alien. Keeping my secret to myself it took me until I was in my 20's to realize I probably wasn't and I had something going on. After meeting someone who had something vastly different from myself, but needed hand and feet awareness and I couldn't find much content on feet and hand awareness so I decided to bring it into the story. In 2021 I fell through a window and temporarily lost my ability to my flap my hands. This brought to my attention how important hand and foot movements can be for good mental health. The process of flapping, pacing, and forgetting this world I have referred to as "shooming" If this interest you and would like to know more please check out my book "shoom"
